Here is a wonderful DocuRide of two guys Shawn and Dan riding 5500 miles on their motorcycles from Seattle to Alaska and back. My son wrote the soundtrack music.

This is inspiring beyond measure.

Congratulations to Shawn, Dan, Jerame and all those we you met along the way.

family joyA week ago I journeyed back to Kansas City for a visit with son Jerame, his wife Kate and nine month old Flora. Returning visits are about “picking up where we left off, remembering through stories and forging ahead to see the new unfolding.

Jerame and Kate’s current abode is a lovely home with a huge magnificent vibrant garden yard…. trees, flowers, critters, birds, deer make you believe that busy city life is miles from here when in fact it is surprisingly close. Everyday Flora and I spend time sitting and playing on the grass, doing a bit of yoga, singing and connecting with the unseen sparkly fairy magic all around.

Yesterday was a “get out of town day” and so we headed East to more memories and meetings of the past and joys of today – visiting Marshall and Arrow Rock, Missouri.

Another lifetime and world away….. Seventeen years ago Tim and I moved to Marshall, Missouri – a small rural town 83 miles east of Kansas City – He was the Minister for a church and congregation for four years…..lots of memories and stories there!

At little show off time with Flora was called for so a visit with Rebecca was first. Along with her huswith Flora 1band Dan and his father, she reminded us “we are the reason you ended up here!” So true! Hearing her family news, meeting of children, seeing the subtle and not so subtle changes through age allowed for smiles and hugs all round. A quick drive past the old house and then onto our destination…..the tiny village of Arrow Rock, seventeen miles through the countryside.

swim spotSettler’s history starts around 1820s after the War of 1812 when early migration west on what became the Santa Fe Trail took hold. Arrow Rock’s history can be followed from the Native American tribes, early explorers looking for opportunities of land and commerce, the rise of enslaved African Americans, economic  impact of the Civil War and fires, decline of river commerce and traffic with the advent of train travel has brought this little village down to a population of less than 50 today.

Highlight of the day was meeting with Liz Huff, Owner/Chef of Catalpa Restaurant. Liz and Jerame have known each other for many years yet this was the first visit in quite a long time especially since getting married to Kate and having Flora. Fun and stories were shared while enjoying the amazing food at this tiny (8 tables) AWARD WINNING restaurant way off the beaten track. 2012/2013 Best Rural Restaurant in Missouri by Rural Missouri Magazine.

Until next time……Blessings each day!

Dear Readers,

As you know from my last posting another bout of traveling was coming up. Well now I have been away nearly 2 1/ weeks visiting my sons and their families in Kansas City and St Petersburg, Florida. I’ll keep it short mainly because I am sure you really don’t want to hear too much bragging about how amazing my grand children and their parents are. Although reluctant at first of the grandparent role I now join the ranks with pride.

Huge waves of remembering pass though each day as I have spend precious time with these new little people. Remembering each father/my sons at the same ages, their personalities, tempers, challenges to authority, speed of movement and each having a mind of their own…..and nothing particularly has changed….they are their own persons, as are their wives.

Several times I have caught myself laughing at either hearing someone say (or remembering myself saying it) “I’ll never let my child do that!” and similar phases that include the word NEVER…..they say wisdom comes at a price and yes it is true when the NEVER word used in pretty much any context. From my experience as soon as one says THAT word it opens the “practical joke door” of the Universe with a response of “Are you sure about that!” Invariably that very thing/s we are determined to stay clear of are the VERY THINGS that are done or brought to us to either keep the peace and quiet, pacify,  distract or avoid. I can only see all of this so clearly now because several decades have passed to allow for 20/20 vision…..yet unfortunately the same cannot be said of my physical eyes! Oh well!

Through the magic of spontaneous photo shots and magic energy I/We have been gifted with these special photos that one day in the distant future Brayden and Flora will perhaps share with their own children, remember and tell stories of a world they arrive in. I wonder what it will be like! This photo of me and Brayden was taken today during a very rare moment of him actually looking at the camera…look at the beautiful transparent energy rainbow circle and the misty beings above us….truly magical!

Next week I am facilitating a workshop on the Four Principles to Empowerment in Boca Raton.  I will also by available for private consultations on October 23 to 25th. Space is still available if interested. Contact me through my website http://www.earthspiritjourneys.com for details.

Today, October 19 marks the beginning of a new moon in the Mayan 13 Moon Calendar. It will cover 28 days , as each month does. This is “Tones 4 – Self-Existing Owl Moon of Form – What is the Form my Service will take? is the question being addressed and revealed in the daily unfolding process. The first day is marked by the Seal of the Yellow Magnetic Seed – Kin 144 …..so do not be surprised if things, ideas and manifestations that were “seeded” in the past, even distant past begin to germinate and sprout out of the darkness (just as the wise owl sees in the dark and traverses the night skies).  My return to Boca Raton marks nine years (complete cycle in numerology) from when I arrived there after driving from Denver, CO. At that time I only knew one person there, had no job, no place to live, no idea why I was “guided” to be there yet knew it was significant, and indeed it was!

I return to honor and complete the gathering and claiming of knowledge and tools of ancient times. And I ask the questions……with this chapter complete how will the next chapter begin? what will it be about, who will share the journey to the greatness that lies ahead?  how will I know when the answers are right in front of me?  The same way you always know – TRUST!

I’ll keep this posting short and writing more shortly.

Blessings to all…until…..

In the wee hours of last Tuesday morning my friend Stephanie and I arrived back from our trip to the desert, Palm Springs and Joshua Tree, to visit a friend. We knew it would be hot but you know, you forget how hot, hot is! Our 5 days ranged from 104 to 109 degrees, with nights in the high 80s! It was too hot for Stephanie so she spent most of the days inside beside a fan. Pool water was not much of a relief as it boarded on bath temp water.

I had to get out and made several trips to the town Joshua Tree, twenty-five miles from Palm Springs. The two main reasons people come to the town are Joshua Tree National Park and the Joshua Tree Retreat Center or The Institute of Mentalphysics. Joshua Tree Main Street has a small selection of cafe, restaurants and bars, craft and souvenir, bank, gas and necessities and not much else. Yubba Valley just six miles away provides the locals with all their shopping needs.  The Retreat Center of 400 plus areas hosts classes, gatherings and festivals throughout the year and people come from all over the world.

I was told the National Park brings 200,000 plus visitors to this little town, although very few actually stop here, they just keep of driving! I learned to appreciate the stark beauty of the summer desert in New Mexico. Dry parched soil. Plants and cactus varieties have adapted and sustained themselves in spite of the dryness and heat. Amazing rock formations dot the landscape and offer protection for the occasional oasis that appear out of nowhere, offering wildlife the blessing of water. For me, walking, sitting and taking in the beauty of nature, feeling the ancestors in the wind and listening to the calls of wildlife bring peace and clarity not found in the everyday hustle bustle world.

Medicine Gardening

The other morning started with a major weeding project before installing a drip system in the veggie garden. A couple of weeks ago the then “innocent looking” weeds didn’t look too threatening but after lovely sunshine, lots of water and a week away the growth was tremendous. At the same time the veggies had made good progress but not to the same degree. This year as a medicine woman gardener I have marveled at the fact we have had no problems with destructive bugs, fungus or gophers, even though there are holes in many of the beds. We have used nothing at all and the soil seems balanced and accommodating to all varieties. Loving medicine magic seems to work except with the weeds!

Walking for World Peace

In the last blog I mentioned a new offering of beautiful custom hand-painted labyrinths available for anyone or any business/organization looking to enhance the body, mind and spirit connections for those in the lives. Unbeknown to me at the time this project was/is to get bigger and after much ignoring of such a fact I stepped into the guidance. You are still able to order your very own beautiful labyrinth from Earth Spirit Journeys

“Walking for World Peace” is the name of this project and will be initiated this weekend at the Mystic Garden Gathering in Selma, Or. (A gathering I never expected to ever attend….shows what I know!) The new focus of this music gathering will enhancing and understanding community more, empowering through great and diverse music, yoga,  meditation, dance and sharing without drugs  and alcohol. Last night as a few of the volunteers shared fabulous pizza cooked on the open fire, rain drizzling in the background (it later rained all night), I listened and learned from the young adults present, the ages of my sons, some of their desires, fears, understandings and realities. And I understood why I am to be present.  They want a better world, not most of the garbage that is being presented for in 30 years this generation will be the leaders of the world….a very new world of their creation….not the one that is crumbling before our eyes.

They know, as so many of us already know, change happens from within first, to then emanate out into the world through actions, integrity, purpose and vision. Walking the labyrinth is a practice to get in touch and claim the grounded self. “Walking for World Peace” will be a video diary of everyone who participates beginning this weekend and coincides with Dr. Emoto’s Prayers for the Waters of Japan and the World on July 25th. On Monday I’ll be at Aquarius Books in Grants Pass, OR and the following weekend in Mt Shasta at a City Park festival. After that I am to take the labyrinth down through various communities in California and then beyond. Each month I ‘ll put out the video diary of all who are sharing in Walking for World Peace.” To support the travel and editing expenses of this project each person who walks the labyrinth will be asked to gift a donation as an energy exchange…..all amounts will be accepted in great gratitude.

World Peace WILL NOT come through the lack of war, anger, greed, corruption and power.

It will come and does come as EACH PERSON grows in peace within themselves, in understanding of themselves and their roles in life…..a not so easy and never ending seeking journey…..even when one leaves this life it continues in more earnest. Another topic!

If you would like to host or have Waling for World Peace come to your community please let me know.

Young or old, rich or poor ….we are all equal in the eyes of the Divine Creator by all names, colors, creeds and beliefs!

The middle of last week I had the strong push to create a new video series on Time Collapsing and the Mayan Calendar. This came out of the discussions on this exact topic during the previous weekend’s retreat.  Losing time is a big issue, no it is a huge issue and one that people do not have any understanding of relative to today.  Taking the journey through time/history allowed for much more clarity and an acceptance, whether understood or not, that is it indeed a reality. Video Part 1 can be seen by clicking on the video image in the list on the right side of this posting.

It was while editing Part 1 that the topics for this posting began showing up. Then in its own time and way pieces of the larger topic began incubating and birthing without my conscious awareness until the flow of information, people, messages and experiences come to me seemingly out of the blue and the topic is revealed. These themes and word kept resurfacing: Time, Space, Fear, Illusion, $$, not enough, spiritual drought, material flooding, virtuous business, spiritual capital, righteousness, thrift and contradictions to name a few. A pretty impressive line-up!

Themes Emerging for this posting:

I received an article by Neale Donald Walsch on Spirit Library June 23 about What we’ve been taught about What God Wants regarding love and money.  The last paragraph touched on the one of the topics – says it all that doing good  or the higher the purpose, the lower the rewards!

The next clue was received a day or so later from Spirit Library directly. It was about their future. After being a wonderful forum for so many very well known Spiritual Teachers and a source of information for so many seekers they realized that there is no money, not to mention profit, in the business of Spiritual Education. Even though, according to marketing sources, this is a huge $$ market.

I know so many individuals who are dedicated and doing powerful spiritual work, changing people’s lives yet in general are in no way compensated appropriately. Some people even get upset if they are expected to pay for this work. Never mind that it is the practitioner’s main work and source of income! The irony of all of this is that when there is a crises in someone’s life more often than not it is the Spiritual teacher, guide, practitioner and medicine person who receives and answers the first calls for help.

Let me clarify, the Spiritual market I am referring to is not connected to ‘any religion’ because the general driving force of religion is power over the people and most usually runs as a non-profit corporate entity where people are encourage to pay for salvation! This may sound pretty cold and hard but when you peel away the emotions, the faith, the actions and promises what is left is the unending requests for money to “save the church” not the people! I learned and saw this quite personally when married to a minister and “served” churches in the deep South and Mid-West.

I believe Mr. Walsch and God felt this was the perfect time to address the inequities of the Spiritual and Corporate worlds!

Next, in one of those accidentally searches I came across  Doing Virtuous Business by Theodore Roosevelt Malloch. It sounded interesting and worth investigating further. After reading the Bio and overview of his book as well as his book titled Thrift – Rebirth of a Forgotten Virtue. Then I read reviews by Steve Forbes, the CEO of Polaroid, a Director of Public Justice and many other high powered executives of big business and government, all espousing how wonderful this idea is and it should be implemented everywhere. I lost interest! More lost words by people who are completely out of touch with 90% of the world. Too many scandals, too many lies, too much greed and too must Virtuous Righteousness in the Name of Spiritual Capital!

Take away everything THEY hold important and what would be left……could they stand on their own two feet without shaking in fear!

And then comes a message about this week’s New Moon and Solar Eclipse with the title Initiation of the Great Renunciation or It is time to Renounce Materialism!

How is that for Divine Synchronicity!

On the eve of this New Moon and particle Solar Eclipse on Friday, the theme of which is “Initiation of the Great Renunciation”  (Renouncing Materialism). For many readers this will throw you into panic at the possibility of losing everything  you possess and worked for, all the creature comforts, savings and dreams!

The three points mentioned below give an idea of what the Initiation of the Great Renunciation signifies:

  • The volatility during this Grand Cross cycle instigates the unveiling of new leadership initiatives while continuing to dissolve false societal systems. This includes manipulative corporate structures and their games of monopoly.
  • The light streams of the New Moon Eclipse initiate more tangible preparation of our body to house multidimensional consciousness from the foundation of “physical body” integration.
  • This alignment catalyzes a great wave of assistance from Sirius, considered home to many of Humanity’s greatest teachers. The Sirius system is directly “upstream” from our solar system and within the galactic arm of our Milky Way Galaxy. Sirian light codes envelop our planet to help us advance into the new race genetics.

This means moving beyond the fears and incredible attachment most have to the objects, status, wealth, health and power the “illusion of material safety and security  represents!” To live on earth today there are tangible and monetary needs we all have. The degree, size and purposes of those needs are different for everyone and how the necessary universal flow of needs are given and received each moment are varying and ever changing, as it should be!

What happens when one releases the fears and attachment to material possessions, old corporate and government models and toxic medical practices is the ability to see more clearly the “hold” all these things have on you, the draining effects experienced and the pervasive corruption and deception fed to the masses from times past until this very moment. When the “revolutionary lights go on” the perceived fears and needs disappear almost immediately and thus the need to hold on to the past….this is the beginning of FREEDOM achieved without violence or an insane “defense budget!”

Until next time…..keep clearing and cleaning to Lighten the Load!

Today is the celebration of Mother’s Day. The day our advertising world tells and demands that the role of Mother is to be honored and remembered, most especially by purchasing “the unforgettable items or services for the one who gave you life!”  Sentiments to absolutely touch the heart and wallet or bigger, the bank account.

Yet beyond all this, the celebration of Mother’s Day is filled with bitter sweet and sweet bitter memories for infinite numbers all across the world.

Today there are those rejoicing in the wonders of new motherhood, like my daughter-in-law, Shannon. Along with my son Mathew, they are learning the nuances of the vital new personality named Brayden. In the role of “grandmother” I reminisce on those same days many years earlier, at the births of both Jerame and Mathew. Then following the threads forward until today, I remember as only I can.

And this takes me to remember my mother who is now 86 years old, living in Australia. We will talk today yet as usual the conversation will be short and more of a repeat of our last conversations…..she does not get out because she is not able to walk very well and her hearing appears to be selective at times….”I can’t hear you” is often repeated, yet if I were to mention or worse yet ask for money…..her attention would be snapped into focus and clarity be razor sharp! This makes me smile now though in the past it had been a bone of contention to say the least.  Today I remember so much and send her love through the ether’s of our hearts that have always been connected……from birth and beyond!

This day is not so sweet for others. For mothers so loved who are not here any longer; those who have rifts and caverns or great canyons of despair, anger or worse yet hate so unresolved, there is little sweetness.

Loss of a mother, loss of a father, loss of a child, loss of a friend, loss of an enemy…….all this and then the loss of oneself!

One day back in 2005 while living outside Washington DC I was drawn to visit Arlington Cemetery. It was a visit I had resisted several times. On that day with camera in hand I filmed the scene. Walking along the paths, each side lined with row upon row of white crosses, I filmed not knowing why it was important.

Return to Arlington video

If you have not visited this place it is very hard to imagine! It is the size of a small town. It is laid out as such, street after street offering different views and landscapes. No houses…just white crosses…..etheric residences.

The result of this day was a short quite powerful video piece called “Return to Arlington”. (Although my camera quality at the time was not fabulous, the message within it is powerful and thought-provoking…and revealed itself again today as I prepared to write this entry.)

Here are a few lines which are particularly poignant for today and the days around us.

“Breathe in life, breathe in death….It is one and the same….a mirror of our times…………….

A mother cries in a distant land, the child she bore is here no more.

There is no home on this land here….this land here is the same on a distant shore.

A wail, a cry, an anguished heart

Who says what’s right!  Who says what’s not! …………………………….

It is time for silence no more!

How many more mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, sons and daughters must return to THIS resting place

On this day of honoring Mother, The Mother, Our Mothers, the feminine birth with each woman and each man…..

Can we hear and feel our Soul’s cry ENOUGH!

Can we hear and feel our Heart’s cry ENOUGH!

Can we hear and feel and BELIEVE the world has LOST enough!

If so……Say so!…….Write and Feel and Believe

“my Inner Soul has had enough…..I claim back myself and I claim back my Nation and I claim back the Mother!”
